New owner of Kall Kwik Welwyn Garden City, local man Phil Beverley (30) is no stranger to the business.
For the past six years he has been working at the design and print centre, in design, production, and sales roles. When the opportunity arose to buy the thriving business from retiring owners Jeff and Carol Cornish he jumped at the chance.
A trained graphic designer, Phil was considering the next step in his career when Jeff told him he was planning on retiring and looking to sell Kall Kwik Welwyn Garden City.
Said Phil: “Having worked at Kall Kwik for over six years I could see the potential to improve on the foundations Jeff laid, so when he suggested I might consider taking over I said yes almost immediately.
“I ‘d like to thank Jeff and Carol for all that they’ve done for the development and progress of Kall Kwik Welwyn Garden City. I am proud to say that the same team that supported Jeff and Carol over the years will now be supporting me in my new role, with the same drive to deliver our comprehensive product portfolio in the best quality, at the best price, and on time.”
Phil inherits a four-strong team and looks forward to making the business even more successful. Getting a large format printer is top of his list of priorities and he plans to forge stronger links with the community he serves. The centre recently sponsored the Welwyn Garden City Cinema on the Green event.
Added Nigel Toplis, managing director of Kall Kwik:” I’m delighted that Phil decided to buy Kall Kwik Welwyn Garden City following in the footsteps of many other former Kall Kwik team members who have seized the golden opportunity to own the profitable business they worked in. I am sure Phil and his team will go from strength to strength and wish Jeff and Carol a long and happy retirement. “
