In a bid to extend their national distribution, Simply Ice Cream have set up a franchisee distribution partnership scheme. The intention behind this scheme is to develop dedicated partners in each county, who form retail partnerships in their area and build their own thriving business.
With the support of Simply Ice Cream HQ they will be expected to distribute the brand to independent retailers, farm shops, cafes, delis & hospitality venues including restaurants, theatres, cinemas and local attractions along with ice cream parlours. They can also sell direct to consumers through their dedicated franchise shop and add on an events option to the franchise package if desired.
Simply Ice Cream is already a well-established brand in the South East, known for using only simple, natural and local ingredients. They have an extensive list of flavours that are all hand made in their family run business near Ashford. The brands founder, Sally Newall, is excited to replicate the business model they’ve formed in Kent throughout other parts of the country, “We have had great success in the South East with our indulgent ice-cream which sits really well alongside any other offering as its unique in that we use 50% double cream in every batch giving consumers a real point of difference and the retailer a multi award winning ice cream to sit alongside their local offering.”
Simply Ice Cream successfully launched with a franchise partner in Suffolk back in December, and despite the pandemic they have secured a number of outlets including farm shops, delis, cinemas and event caterers. The brands main office has worked closely with the franchise partner to ensure they have the support to approach, win and grow these outlets. They have also chosen the add on event option and have attended numerous events as we have opened back up, raising brand awareness and promoting the B2C option, both of which has also given them more visibility around Suffolk and a higher margin!
